These images document the FIC-Fighters field work and community engagement activities in Prahovo and Negotin in Serbia, one of the project’s case studies exploring innovative approaches to phosphogypsum management.
The gallery captures field visits to the phosphogypsum stack and the surrounding industrial and riverside landscape along the Danube, highlighting both the environmental challenges and the strategic importance of the site.
It also features moments from the March 2026 Citizen Workshop “Voices for Change: Exploring Solutions for the Prahovo PG Stack”, held at the Public Library of Negotin. During the event, local residents, environmental advocates, public representatives, and other stakeholders came together to discuss the impacts of the phosphogypsum stack, identify priorities for the area, and imagine future scenarios for its regeneration. Together, these moments reflect the FIC-Fighters approach of combining scientific research, local knowledge, and citizen participation to address environmental legacies and explore sustainable pathways for the future of Prahovo and the wider Negotin region.
