PEPE Portal

The PEPE Portal is the first free, online geoportal dedicated to phosphogypsum (PG) stacks across Europe and beyond!

PEPE is designed to provide comprehensive information about the FIC-FIGHTERS pilot sites, serving as lighthouses for innovation. It also includes data on other relevant PG deposit locations worldwide.

Beyond simply identifying locations, the portal offers detailed information such as:

• Geolocation of PG stacks

• Estimated quantities of phosphogypsum

• Material characterisation

• Environmental issues and radioactivity levels

• Critical Raw Materials (CRM) content

• Ownership and associated companies

• Any other available data relevant to research, investment, or industrial use

Current Status

• The PEPE Portal is currently in development – PG locations are being identified in collaboration with the project coordinator.

• Several features and search layers are already available, with more updates planned in the coming months.
