FIC-FIGHTERS Presented During Cluster 6  Horizon Europe National Info Day in Croatia

The Croatian Agency for Mobility and EU Programs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education in Croatia, organised a series of national informational webinars aimed at potential applicants who are either unfamiliar with the Horizon Europe program or inexperienced in participating in it.

On April 3, 2025, a webinar dedicated to Cluster 6 – Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment under the Horizon Europe program has been organised in an online format to introduce Cluster 6 and to encourage and inform new potential Croatian applicants about programme updates and upcoming calls.

Prehnit ltd, as the only Croatian project partner in the consortium, was selected and invited to present FIC- FIGHTERS project: “To a Fair, Inclusive, Circular and Healthy Cities: Valorisation of Phosphogypsum Wastes into Commercial Products through Sustainable and Circular Processes” given its innovative nature and international consortium of partners.

Prehnit focused on the main project results and societal benefits, emphasising its role in development of the PEPE portal – the first phosphogypsum geoportal in Europe.

The presentation been positively received by participants as Prehnit provided an insight into the concrete experiences of Croatian participant.

Urban Mining: Unlocking Secondary Resources for a Circular Economy

Urban mining is emerging as a crucial strategy for sustainable resource management, helping to reduce dependency on primary raw materials while promoting circular economy principles. This EU Green Week partner event, co-organised by the European Federation of Geologists (EFG), RemTech Expo, the Geological Survey of Belgium, Geologica Belgica Luxemburga (GBLsp) and the Horizon Europe FIC-Fighters project, will bring together experts from policy, industry, and geoscience to explore how urban mining can support Europe’s transition to a more resilient and resource-efficient economy.

CCRI clustering workshop
