Virtual Forum on Phosphogypsum: A New Space to Promote Participation and Trans-Regional Cooperation

Dec 10, 2025 | 0 comments

We are pleased to introduce a new platform designed to strengthen participation, knowledge exchange, and trans-regional cooperation on Phosphogypsum (PG). This dedicated space brings together resources, community insights, and policy-oriented discussions to support more inclusive and sustainable approaches. You can consult the Virtual Forum on PG here: https://fic-fighters.eu/virtual-forum.

At its core, the platform aims to make project findings accessible to a wide audience. Through the Library, users can explore posts written for non-experts, offering clear explanations of key concepts, project activities, and lessons learned. This ensures that anyone, regardless of background, can follow and understand the project’s objectives and outcomes.

The platform also provides detailed information on the project’s Case Study sites, enabling visitors to learn more about the diverse contexts in which PG-related challenges and opportunities occur. Each Case Study is complemented by the conclusions emerging from its Citizen Events, reflecting the perspectives, experiences, and priorities of local communities.

Beyond sharing knowledge, this space is built to encourage debate and collaboration. It supports trans-regional meetings where participants exchange ideas, identify shared challenges, and generate insights that contribute directly to policy development. These discussions will ultimately feed into policy briefs aimed at improving circular economy practices and strengthening cooperation across regions.

By bringing together open information, community voices, and structured policy dialogue, this platform serves as a dynamic tool for advancing participation and building more effective, circular, and inclusive solutions.
